Why we started...
A Message from Joanne, Founder of Beyond the CV.
Beyond the CV wasn't created in a boardroom or as part of a business strategy. It began with a simple job advert.
As a military spouse and business owner, I wanted to create an opportunity for someone who understood the realities of military life. Within 24 hours, 121 military spouses applied.
Behind every application was an incredibly talented person with skills, qualifications and determination—but the same heartbreaking message kept appearing:
"I just need someone to give me a chance."
That was the moment Beyond the CV was born.

From employing military spouses, mentoring aspiring professionals to working alongside Armed Forces charities we're committed to turning our values into action.
