Beyond the CV was founded by Joanne Bowmer and Amy Lovely after an overwhelming response to a single remote job opportunity.
One vacancy. 121 applications. So many talented military spouses and partners, all with incredible skills and experience, struggling to find employment that worked around military life.
We filled the role, but we couldn't ignore the bigger picture.
So we created Beyond the CV.

Joanne Bowmer — Co-Founder
From teenage military girlfriend to veteran's wife, Joanne knows what it means to build a career around military life. Starting in a law firm at 16, she went on to build her own successful legal business, creating opportunities for other military spouses along the way.
Amy Lovely — Co-Founder
A military spouse and mum of four, Amy knows how difficult it can be to find meaningful work that fits around postings, deployments and family life. Now working in law and undertaking professional training, she's helping other military spouses see what's possible.
