Hello. We're really glad you found us.
A place to belong. A place to be heard. A place to move forward.

We see you. And we're glad you're here.
First things first. Put the kettle on, pull up a chair and make yourself at home.
Whether you're a military girlfriend, boyfriend, husband, wife, partner, mum, dad, or someone trying to work out where on earth your career fits around military life, you're welcome here.
Maybe you've moved house more times than you can count.
Maybe you've spent years building a career, only to find yourself starting again after another posting.
Maybe you've been holding everything together during deployments, juggling children, work, appointments and a hundred things nobody else sees.
Or maybe you've just spotted a job you'd love to apply for, but you're already wondering whether anyone will take you seriously when they see the gaps in your CV.
Beyond the CV was created because we believe military spouses and partners deserve to be recognised for who they are, what they can do and where they want to go.
Not just who they're married to. Not just where they've lived. And certainly not just what's written on a piece of paper.
We're not here to tell you that military life is easy. We know it isn't.We're here to build a community where experiences are shared, voices are heard, opportunities are explored and employers are encouraged to look beyond the obvious.
You don't need to be looking for a job to belong here.
You don't need a polished CV, a five-year plan or even the faintest idea what you want to do next.
You just need to be you.
Welcome to Beyond the CV.
“You are allowed to want something for yourself, too.”
Make Yourself at Home
Beyond the CV is more than a campaign for fairer employment. We're building a place where military spouses and partners can find practical support, discover opportunities, champion each other's businesses and connect with people who understand.
Whether you're looking for work, running your own business, exploring a new direction or just looking for your people, there's something here for you.
Come on in. This is your space too.
The MILSPO Business Directory
From kitchen-table start-ups to established businesses, military spouses and partners are building incredible things. Discover their businesses, support their work or find out how to list your own.
Opportunities Without Barriers
We're working towards a jobs board featuring opportunities from employers who understand that military life shouldn't mean putting your own ambitions on hold.
This Community Is Yours Too
Beyond the CV might have started with two women and an idea, but it was never meant to belong to just us.
It belongs to the military spouse who has started again after another posting. The partner who has built a business around deployments and family life. The person who has spent years supporting someone else's career and is finally ready to think about their own. And the ones who are still figuring it all out.
We want to hear from you.
Tell us what's working. Tell us what's missing. Share your experiences, your ideas and the things you wish someone had told you years ago.
Because the best people to tell us what military spouses and partners need are military spouses and partners themselves.
Help us build something worth belonging to.
“At Beyond the CV, you will never be a dependant.”
You Don't Have to Be Looking for Work to Belong Here.
You might be building a career, running a business, studying, raising a family or taking some time to work out what comes next.
You might have years of experience to share with someone else. Or perhaps you're simply looking for people who understand the strange, wonderful and occasionally completely ridiculous world of military life.
Whatever your circumstances, you're welcome.
Your value has never depended on your employment status. And it never will.
“You can be proud of their service without putting your own dreams on hold.”
There's always room for one more at the table.
Whether you have an idea, a story, a question or just want to say hello, we'd love to hear from you.
The kettle's on.
